Melissa S. Wall, CPA, CFP®

Senior Wealth Advisor

Melissa is a Senior Wealth Advisor at Providence Capital Advisors.  In this role, she works with new and existing clients in various aspects of financial planning.  Melissa has a broad range of expertise across financial planning topics, with a particularly deep level of expertise in strategic tax planning.

Prior to joining Providence Capital Advisors, Melissa worked on the Executive Advisory Services team at Bank of America, where she provided holistic financial and tax guidance to the corporation’s senior leadership.  Melissa served primarily as the tax advisor for her clients, evaluating and making recommendations on stock concentration planning, tax-efficient charitable planning, education funding strategies, retirement sufficiency, and estate planning.  Prior to joining Bank of America, Melissa began her career in Deloitte’s Private Client Advisors group focusing on tax compliance for partners of the firm, business owners, and multi-generational families.

Melissa completed her undergraduate work in accounting at Wingate University and received her Master of Professional Accountancy from Clemson University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.  Melissa has served as an adjunct professor of accounting, and is currently a member of the Wingate University Business Advisory Council.

Melissa is deeply invested in the work of her church, serving on the stewardship development team and volunteering locally at the Loaves and Fishes food pantry. Additionally, Melissa is part of a Habitat International partner team that conducts annual work missions in economically depressed areas of El Salvador.

On Saturdays, you can find her running, coaching youth soccer or cheering on the Clemson Tigers.  Melissa is married to Steve, an administrator at Charlotte Country Day School, and they have two children, Declan and Ellie.
